Choose → Select Defendant Search, Case Search, or Court Calendar based on what you have

Select → Choose your location — NYC, Long Island, Ninth Judicial District, or Erie County

Enter → Input the defendant's name, case/docket/summons number, or select a date

To look up a case or monitor upcoming court dates visit the official New York State Unified Court System portal directly. The system is free, publicly accessible, and requires no login or registration for standard searches.

Important Note: WebCrims is intended for viewing pending criminal cases. Sealed records and some older, disposed cases are not accessible through this portal. For civil cases, you would use a different system called NYSCEF

History Of WebCrims

WebCrims is a public online portal introduced by the New York State Unified Court System in 2005 to improve access to criminal court records. It offers free electronic search tools that allow users to look up criminal cases, view upcoming court dates, and access basic case disposition information.

In the late 1990s, New York State began developing online court databases, and in the early 2000s the Office of Court Administration launched the iApps system, which included WebCrims.
